The dimensions of hand baggage allowed for transportation are 55x40x23 cm. The sum of all three dimensions of the baggage must not exceed 158 cm. When carrying irregular baggage, each additional piece of baggage is charged at the rate of 13 USD per piece.

Note that if you specify extra/unnormalized baggage less than 24 hours before departure, the baggage fee penalty rises to $40/seat.

When carrying sports equipment, it should be disassembled (if possible) and packed in a tight container. The cost of transportation of one set of sports equipment weighing up to 23 kg is $200/set, over 23 kg – $250.

QA has standard prohibitions on carrying the following items:

  • explosives in any form;
  • unregistered weapons;
  • any signaling devices and smart cases powered by batteries greater than 180 W;
  • strong magnets;
  • fireworks and firecrackers;
  • corrosive, radioactive, chemically and biologically hazardous liquids;
  • liquids with a total volume of more than 1 liter (at that, the volume of each container with liquid should not be more than 100 ml);
  • batteries and strong oxidizers;
  • strongly odorous organic substances as well as substances that are strong allergens, even in closed containers.

Registered weapons and small aerosols of cosmetic and medical nature are allowed.

Wheelchairs or specific medical equipment may only be transported if the goods are documented and specially marked. All batteries/indicators on the device must be disconnected beforehand.

Hand luggage regulations

Economy Class is subject to the universal norm – one piece of hand baggage not exceeding 7 kg in weight. For business class there is a standard – two pieces of luggage not exceeding 7 kg each. Laptop, tablet, outerwear, umbrella/ cane, food/carrier for children and ladies bag are not included in hand baggage and do not require additional payment.

In addition to objects that are not allowed in regular baggage, the following items may not be carried in hand luggage:

  • Liquids larger than 100 ml except baby food and medications with a prescription;
  • Rechargeables and Powerbanks;
  • Any stabbing and cutting objects, any weapon, including fake ones;
  • Any strongly odorous substances, as well as substances that can cause a strong allergic reaction;
  • Aerosols and compressed gases in cylinders except inhalers.

It is allowed to carry thermometers/barometers in hand baggage provided that they are free of mercury and have a tight cover/case in which this cargo will be kept during the whole flight. Medicines may be carried only with a doctor’s prescription.

Animal transportation rules

QA allows the transportation of animals in checked baggage. Service dogs and guide dogs may travel in the cabin if authorized by the owner. In any case, the animal must be in a carrier that meets the following conditions:

  • well ventilated;
  • metal locking doors are installed;
  • a bowl of water is placed. The bowl must be secured in such a way that the animal cannot turn the container over;
  • the floor is lined with a material that absorbs liquids well;
  • the animal must be able to stand freely at full height.
Only fully healthy animals with a veterinary passport are allowed to fly. Pregnant and sick animals are not allowed to fly.

Each animal traveling with you must pre-register online. Registration must be done at least 2 days before departure.

Flight attendants are committed to providing food and water for your pet every 4 hours. If necessary, you can specify special food options for your pet.

Transportation of birds of prey is allowed only with a special cap over the eyes. Transportation of other animals that can tolerate slight temperature changes is also allowed.
